The assistant
On this page
The assistant is the agent for the people of the business. The online admin is another agent: it answers clients in the chats, and the assistant answers the team (see Built-in agents).
Where it is
In the web version it is the Assistant panel, and in the app it is the Conversation tab. Each person has one conversation with it in each business, and nobody else sees it, the owner included. On an empty conversation the assistant greets the person and offers three questions to start with: "Where do I start?", "What can you do?" and "What do I have tomorrow?".
A person writes as in a messenger: what to find, count or do. While the assistant answers, it shows the answer as it is written, and Stop is available (see Stopping, cut-offs and retries).
What it can do
It reads and changes the business's records through the same operations a person or a program connected over MCP uses: visits, schedules, contacts, services, conversations with clients, the knowledge and the settings of the business. It works in the branch the person has open and keeps to what the person's role allows. If the role does not allow something, the assistant says so and does not try to get around it.
What it does not do
- It does not do the matters of the person's own account.
- It does not send mailings. It writes to clients one chat at a time, and it refuses to write to many different chats in one go.
- It does not promise dates, and it does not promise to tell the person when a missing feature appears (see Request to the Talemo team).
Writing to clients
A message to a client is a thing the assistant always asks about, in both modes. The card shows the text, and it goes exactly as written. A chat in a messenger can be answered only while the messenger's reply window is open. When the client wrote more than a day ago, the card says the window has closed and the answer has to be given in the channel's own app.
What the answer shows
Under an answer the assistant shows what it did and where the answer comes from (see Run journal). Names of people, services, places and the business are written as in the records. The assistant names places of Talemo as they are on the person's screen (see Places and context).
Screens in the app
In the app the assistant can also show data: it answers in a short sentence and puts a row under it that opens a screen with live data, and after a change it made, Talemo puts the result under the answer by itself (see Screens the assistant shows in the app).
Who can use it
A role is given the right Give the assistant work. See what the assistant did shows the person's own runs. The assistant spends the business's money, and the owner can limit it (see Spend of a run).
