Waiting for you
Waiting for you gathers what needs a person: an action the assistant or the online admin asks permission for, a draft reply, a conversation handed over to the team, a client who will get an answer only from a person, a channel that needs connecting again, suggestions to the knowledge, an export that someone made. On the web it is Today, on the Waiting for a decision list. In the app it is the Waiting for you tab, with Your decision and Conversations.
The kinds of items are described in Kinds of items, and how to decide them in Deciding an item.
Whose item it is
An item belongs to one person or to a right in a branch.
- An action the assistant asks about belongs to the person who started the assistant, and nobody else sees it.
- An item of the online admin, a draft or a handoff belongs to a right in the branch of the conversation: everyone who has that right in that branch sees it and may decide it. A role limited to its own conversations sees only those it is responsible for.
- Cases about a conversation, "The client is waiting for an answer" and "the window closed", go to the people chosen in Who gets conversation cases (see Who answers a conversation). Cases about a channel go to those who manage channels.
Someone else's item is answered as if it did not exist.
When one person decides
"When one of you decides, it closes for everyone, and you can see who decided." The first decision stands. The same person repeating it gets the same answer, and a different decision on a closed item is refused.
Already decided
Decided items move to Already decided, newest first, with who decided, when and what came of it: "You decided, {when} — allowed", "Decision: {name}, {when} — not allowed". All decided opens the whole list. A handoff that a person answered stays there too. Cases about conversations and channels have no history: they go away by themselves once the client is answered or the channel is connected.
What the assistant asks here
Today says it plainly: "The assistant asks here before changing what your rule says to ask about, and before any deletion. Until you decide, it waits and changes nothing." How often the assistant asks is the person's own setting (see Assistant mode).
Tools
Waiting for you has no tools of its own. Items appear from the actions of the assistant and the online admin and from the state of conversations and channels. A decision is made only by a person in the web or the app, and a program connected with a key cannot decide.
