Installing a kit
On this page
Who installs
Only the owner of the business installs a kit. The right is held at the level of the organisation, so a role given for one business does not carry it. Seeing the list of kits needs only that the person sees the business. The Settings screen says "Only the owner of the business installs a kit."
In Settings
Settings → Industry kits, the kit under Can be installed, Install. The window Install the "Client booking" kit? lists what the kit brings: the contact categories, what services need, the sections and the items in settings, and says it is installed for the whole business, in all branches at once; at the bottom is the line "Ready roles: Master. They are templates: you can change the name and rights. The kit gives them to no one; you can add them on "Roles and access"". After it the kit moves to Installed, and the Calendar and catalog screens appear. Whoever creates roles sees the button Add role "Master" in the message about the installation if the organization has no such role yet; the same link stands in the row of the installed kit under Installed while the role is missing. The message about the installation reads "The "Client booking" kit is installed".
The assistant installs a kit when the owner asks, and an agent connected over MCP
uses talemo_install_kit with the key beauty_salon; the tool takes dry_run,
which shows the kit as it will stand and installs nothing.
No way back
A kit is installed once and cannot be removed. The settings of roles word the right as "Install an industry kit — it can't be removed". Installing a kit that is already installed gives the same answer and changes nothing, so a repeat after a lost connection is safe.
What the first installation does
On the first installation only, the kit writes into the business the contact categories, the booking rules of the industry and the starting conversation of the online admin (see What the kit installs). If the business has quick questions turned on in Instagram or Messenger, the first step of the installed script reaches clients through them, so while those quick questions are on, the assistant asks the person before installing.
Opening a business with a kit
When a business is opened (Your business), the person picks What you do, the industry, and writes In your own words if it is Other. Where we start offers the kit first, described as "schedule, masters or specialists, services". The kit is installed in the same step as the business: if it does not install, the business is not opened either. The person opening the business needs the right to install kits. A business can also be opened without a kit and get it later in Settings; its Home then points to Open kits.
The industry stays on the business. The kit takes the words and the starting values of the industry that stands on the business at the time of installation.
Tools and refusals
talemo_install_kittakeskit(the key,beauty_salon) anddry_run. Only the owner installs a kit: others are refused with status 403, coderole.forbidden. A kit cannot be removed, so ask the person before installing. Installing an installed kit returns it as it is, so a repeat after a lost connection is safe.- A new install also lays down what the industry of the business starts with: the booking step and the cleanup of its roles, a conversation script of four steps with its four conversation fields and its hand-over rules, all in the language of the business. The exception is the industry Other: it has no starting steps or fields. A business that already has a script or fields keeps them (see What the kit installs).
- While the quick questions of a channel are on, the first step of the script is what every client sees in the Instagram or Messenger of the salon. Show the
dry_runfirst and ask the person. talemo_list_kitsbefore and after tells what is installed and what can be.- The installation does not make the ready-made role of the kit. Its rights and name are in
readyof thetalemo_list_rolesanswer while the kit stands;talemo_create_rolemakes the role at the person's request (see Team and roles).
