Sign-up link from a conversation
Talemo has a business of its own and answers people in Instagram Direct from it, the way a salon answers its clients. When a conversation ends with an invitation to try Talemo, the reply carries a link to sign up.
Who has it
Only the business that is Talemo itself has the link. In a customer's business
there is no Sign-up link button, and the assistant and the online admin of that
business cannot make one: the tool talemo_signup_link is not offered there, and
a call by name is answered as if the conversation did not exist.
How it is made
- A person writes a reply in Messages, in a conversation of Talemo's business, and presses Sign-up link beside the reply field. The link is put into the text of the reply; the person reads it and sends it.
- Talemo's own assistant closes a conversation in Direct with the same link.
talemo_signup_link makes the link for a conversation. With dry_run it shows the
link that would be made and issues nothing; a program shows that to the person
before the real call.
What the person who gets it sees
The link opens the arrival page of Talemo, with the cookie banner (see Arriving from the landing page, and the cookie choice). If the person allows cookies, Talemo remembers which conversation the link came from; if not, it remembers nothing, and sign-up works the same.
The link carries what the person said in the conversation: the industry they named and the language they wrote in, when Talemo speaks it, Russian or English. The page then opens in that language, and the step What you do of creating a business has the industry already, marked from the conversation in Instagram (or WhatsApp, or Messenger: the chat the link was sent in). It can be changed (see Creating a business).
