# Push "waiting for a reply"

The push tells a person of the team on the phone that a conversation waits for their
answer. It is shown by the Talemo app.

## When it goes

A push goes when a new handoff opens, that is, the online admin handed a conversation
to the team (see [Handoff to people](../conversations/handoff-to-people.md)). It
goes to each person who sees that item in Waiting for you: those who have the right
to answer in the branch of the conversation, and for a role limited to its own
conversations only if it is responsible for this one. A repeated handoff of the same
conversation with the same reason makes no new push.

## What it says

The title is the number of conversations that wait for this person now, for example
"1 conversation is waiting for you" or "3 conversations are waiting for you". The
text is "Open Talemo to answer." The push has no name of a client and no words of a
client, because it can be read on the lock screen. Its words are in the language of
the person.

Pushes that come one after another are joined. Three handoffs in a row make one push
"3 conversations are waiting for you". A new push replaces the
previous one on the phone.

## What a tap does

A tap opens **Waiting for you** in the app on the latest item (see
[Waiting for you](waiting-for-you.md)).

## When nothing is sent

- The item was decided or answered before the push went out, or the person can no
  longer see it.
- The person has no phone with the app signed in, or the phone's token is no longer
  valid.
- A push that has waited too long is dropped without a call.

The item itself does not depend on the push. It stays in Waiting for you in every
case.

## Turning it on in the app

The app asks "Allow notifications?" with the reason "We'll call you when a client is
waiting for your answer." **Allow** turns it on and **Not now** postpones it. When
notifications are off, the app shows "Notifications are off" with **Turn on**. On
Android the push goes to the **Conversations** notification channel, where the phone's
own settings apply.

## What has no push

Pushes are sent for handoffs only. Cases about a client waiting, a closed window or a
channel, draft replies, actions of the assistant and exports do not call the phone.
