# Creating a business

A person who has signed in and has no business sees **Where shall we start?** with
**Create a business**: "Three steps: organization, payment, business. The first
top-up is $10, no subscription." A business is created on the web; the app shows
the business by itself once it exists (see [No business yet](no-business-letter.md)).

## Step 1: organization

If the person already has an organization where they may open businesses, the first
screen is **Whose business is it**: their organization with the money it has, or
**Another organization**, which has its own payment methods and invoice details.

Otherwise the step is **Organization**: **How you work** (**Company or sole trader**
or **As an individual**) and the name for invoices. The organization is saved on
**Next**, even if the business is opened later. The account is described in
[Organization, business and branch](../account/organisation-business-branch.md).

## Step 2: payment

The organization pays for Talemo, and the business opens with the organization's
money. The first top-up is **$10**, and the packs offered are $10, $25, $50 and
$100; the payment page shows tax, if there is any (see
[Money in dollars and top-up packs](../money/credits-and-packs.md)). The business
opens if the organization has at least the smallest pack, $10. If the person does
not pay, the organization stays and the business does not appear. When the
organization already has enough, the step is skipped.

- On a phone, before the first payment, **I'll continue on a computer** emails a
  link that continues the payment where the person stopped. A person who does not
  finish gets one letter, **Just the payment is left**.
- Inside Instagram or Facebook, the main button is **Pay in Safari** or **Pay in
  Chrome**, and **Pay here** is the text below it (see
  [Paying, and the payment link for Instagram](../money/paying-and-hand-off-link.md)).

What was typed is kept on the device while the person is on the payment page.

## Step 3: your business

After the payment the page says that the payment arrived and asks for:

- **Name**, which starts as the name of the organization;
- **First branch**, with its **Time zone** and the **Currency of prices** of that
  zone, which can be changed. The zone is a place, like Belgrade: the device's place
  is already chosen. A device that names only an offset, like UTC+3, leaves the field
  empty and the person chooses a place. The place also names the country: dates and
  times for the clients of the branch are written the way that country writes them;
- **What you do**: Beauty, Massage, spa and wellness, Sport and fitness, Tattoo,
  One-on-one lessons, or Other, which opens **In your own words**. When the person came
  from a conversation with Talemo in Instagram, WhatsApp or Messenger, the choice is
  already made and marked **from the conversation in Instagram** (or the chat it
  came from);
- **Where we start**: **Client booking**, with a schedule, masters or specialists and
  services. It is installed together with the business and cannot be removed;
- when the organization has more than the smallest pack, how much to give the
  business, everything by default.

**Create business** opens the business, its first branch and the kit together; if
one part fails, nothing is created. Then **Invite your team** offers email and role
rows, and **Skip** leaves it (see [Invitations](../account/invitations.md)).
