# Note and hidden fields

## The note

The note is free text about the client for the team: what matters, what to
remember before the next visit.

## Fields a role may not see

A role can be allowed or denied, separately for seeing and for editing: the
family name, the note, the category, phone numbers, email and messengers. The
name is always visible to anyone who sees the card.

- A field closed for seeing is simply absent from the card.
- A field closed for editing can be seen but not changed; an attempt is
  refused.
- History lines about closed fields are not shown either.

## What the online admin sees

The online admin answers clients in the business's chats by itself. It never
sees the card's note and never reads its category: what the team writes about a
client does not reach the conversation with that client. With categories it does
one thing: it moves its own client from Not sorted into a category of the business.

## Tools and refusals

- A field the role closes is missing from the answers of `talemo_get_contact` and `talemo_find_contacts`. Never conclude from a missing field that it is empty.
- Sending a closed field to `talemo_update_contact` is refused with `role.field_forbidden`: a field closed for editing can be seen but not changed. That is an answer: tell the person which field and that the role has no right to it.
- The note is for the team only. The online admin never sees the note of a card and never reads its category, so what you write in a note does not reach the conversation with that client. With categories it does one thing: it moves its own client from Not sorted into a category of the business.
